History

The LOKO TRANS story began in 1990 with our very first customer ZZN Ivančice, for whom we provided railway transport on a local sidetrack. Within a few years, LOKO TRANS managed to undertake maintenance of further railway sidetracks all over the Czech Republic. In 1994, the range of our services was extended, and at the same time the company underwent changes which led to the establishment of LOKO TRANS limited liability company with its new core activity: general repairs of electric locomotives for Czech Railways.

In 1997, it was decided to enter the Slovak market and consequently sister company LOKO TRANS Slovakia, limited liability company was established. This company serves as a service and repair base providing also a non-stop mobile service team to assist with repair works on railway vehicles.

In 2009 company established its own repair base for locomotives situated in Střelice u Brna. For the repairs of railway wagons, the repair centres of LOKO TRANS Slovakia Ltd. in Dubnica and Šurany are still being used.
